CELLULOSE / FIBREGLASS BLOWN IN
Cellulose/Fibreglass Blown In
Blown-in insulation is a highly efficient method of adding thermal protection to homes and buildings by creating a seamless blanket of coverage. Using a specialized machine, loose-fill cellulose or fiberglass insulation is blown into attics, wall cavities, or other hard-to-reach spaces through a flexible hose. This process allows the material to flow around joists, wiring, and irregular shapes that are difficult to cover with traditional batts, ensuring a more complete and consistent layer of insulation. Cellulose, made primarily from recycled paper products treated for fire resistance, is an environmentally friendly option that offers excellent density, air resistance, and sound absorption. Fiberglass loose-fill is lightweight, durable, and resistant to moisture, making it a long-lasting choice for both new builds and retrofits. Blown-in insulation is particularly effective for attics, where adding depth quickly increases R-value and improves energy efficiency. It can also be used to top up existing insulation or to insulate closed cavities using a dense-pack method. The result is better comfort year-round, lower heating and cooling bills, and a significant reduction in drafts and heat loss. For many homeowners, blown-in insulation is one of the fastest and most cost-effective upgrades to improve overall energy performance.
